Pedicularis hirsuta
This week's letter in ABC Wednesday is P.
I am still going to stick to the plan, which is to post as my photographs about plants in ABC Wednesday as possible. With all this in mind, my choice for this week is Pedicularis hirsuta. White flowers in the foreground are Cassiope hypnoides (also known as Moss bell heather).

What a lovely photo. Do they grow wild in Finland?
VastaaPoistaI've only seen them on NW corner of Finland (near Kilpisjärvi). Another flower (called Pedicularis flammea) from same genus can be found from Norway, but has not been found from Finland, even though closest sightings are within kilometer or so from border.
VastaaPoistaSuch lovely flowers and soft colors! Terrific capture and a great post for the P Day! Hope your week is going well!
