Industry
This week's letter in ABC Wednesday is I.
While Finland has bunch of place names, which start with I (Iijoki, Iisalmi, Ilomantsi, ...), I don't think I have photographs from any of them. However, I was able to find one photograph about old industrial parts of Tampere.
Tampere was established in 1775 and it got city rights in 1779. At the end of June 2009, its population was around 210k people. During last couple centuries, industry has always played important role in Tampere and as a result from this, it is sometimes refered as "Manchester of the North".

What a lovely photo. You can see the industry and yet, you can also the stillness and quietness. Beautiful!
